We went down to the pumpkin patch. There were many pumpkins. We got two, a short squat pumpkin, and a tall skinny pumpkin.
Then we started carving...
First,
we gutted them. This is very messy - the insides are full of sticky
gunk and stringy goo. And lots of seeds, too.
Then we carved faces into them. I carved a happy toothless face,
Jenny carved a scary face.
Finally, we stuffed candles into them, and lit 'em up! The heat
from the candles kinda cooks the inside of the pumpkin, so it smells like
pumpkin pie. Yum!
And of course, it wouldn't be right if we didn't have a Halloween-Correct
photo of the Emma Kay.
